I've just spent three days converting the "what was going to be The Restored Cathedral v2" mission to Thief 2.

After much stress, DromED seems to be happy now, so sometime next year, you should all be able to see those mechanists wandering around in the old RTC cathedral.
:D

Don't worry, it isn't anyone who has been named in the past.
Garrett has many friends, some of which we have never heard of.

Well, first I must say your last FM was great. I really liked the touch with the Eye flying form the vualt and hovering above the altar. Just like it did in the old days before the Trickster's curse. You have really taken not just the cahadral and cleaned it up but also the Old quartar. I am no fan of Mechinists(who in thier right mind is?) but I will say it's nice to see some humans walking around then some zombies liping around! However, considering the cathedral history and the horrible terrible time we spent there I still fell there is something wrong with that old place. Something very disturbing. Prehaps the Eye and the dark powers it holds with in it were not ment to be discovered by mankind. Espesially a group of reliougis fanatics who take God and church over the edge!

Oh,yes and you're right Garret does have very many friends aside from the Keepers and Basso and his wife Jenivre.;)

The Inn front looks really nice "Z"..if I weren't a loyal customer of the Crippled Burrick...I'd give them some patronage :D Hope your mission isn't giving you too much trouble these days and will still be looking to add it into my mission folder :) Ta and Good Hunting!

I'm still working on it.

The new cathedral looks great, and I hope to have the mission finished in the next few months.
:)

(And yes, new screenshots will also be coming soon).

That's always good news to hear "Z" :) and new screenies too! However, I'm getting a little thirsty and I hope the "Crippled Burrick" has a little left for a taste or two :D It's been a long "dry" spell...LOL Keep truckin and my HDD is still in wait mode :) Ta and Good Hunting!

The first in-game screenshots (i.e. not taken in DromED) can now be found here:

Although the screens are a bit "dark", I still sorta get the idea :) Nice to see your still working hard on it...we need some action around here! LOL I know the contest missions are out but waiting to see some results from those testing them to see which ones would interest me enough to play for myself. Sorry, I don't care to be downloading any that would be difficult and/or too buggy since I don't have DSL, etc. ;) So I'll not want to waste my time otherwise and find I would just have to turn around and delete it for whatever reason. Take care and Good Hunting!

There are two reasons why I have not been posting that much here recently:

a) I've been hanging out at TTLG (yeah I know, shame on me :o)
b) I have been working flat out to get this FM finished!

The Cathedral itself is more or less sorted out, with textures, lighting, and most of the furniture now in place.

This means I've been able to make some updated screenshots, which you can find at the usual place:
Mechanist Cathedral (http://www.rcl-software.org.uk/thief/missions/cathedral/mechanist/)

On to St.Yora's ...
:)

I guess if your reason to "hangout" at TTLG is for the DromEd section, we'll give you a pass :D But if it's for "other" reasons and ignoring your old home...Huntress gets her BJ ready then you'd better hide fast! LOL...thanks for the update "Z" anyway and hope all is well with you and wife these days too! Ta and Good Hunting!

It looks like I have a general release date now !

I'll hoping to publish the FM some time in June, or early July.

It's almost finished.
