Turn it off guys it eats FPS for breakfast.
It's ok for consoles as their native resolution is still rather low. Crank up the resolution and motion blur becomes a frame eating behemoth.

In every other game I would agree, but here they have done it perfectly, I still get about 40 fps, overall, 30 when things are really bad, so thats good enough for me :)

60 should be your maintain goal , hover around 60 at all times and the game will be silk.

Well of course. 60 is the sweet spot for any game, but a lot of people find that playing at 30-40 is fine. I played Counter Strike: Source at 15fps for over a year and never had a problem. Nowadays, 15fps is a different story and 30fps is my "target", which is what I get most of the time in most games with the settings near the max.

30 is the minimum needed for smooth animation. but at 30 anything can and will cause it to dip under and it gets noticeable.
