BO2 crash

After the opening movie BO2 just crashes to the desktop does anyone know how to fix this?

which platform? PC? XBOX? PS2?
if PC:

did you patch it?
if so:

did you check the options menu and see if the switch resolution option is switched on?
if so:

do you have direct x 8.1?
if so:

checked for errors with scandisk?
if so:

fixed them?
if so:

I got the pc verison

I did patch it

the game crashes before I can get to the options menu.

I got direct x 8.1

ran scandisk and harddrive had no errors

then i think you should:

ask a new copy

get help from officials at eidos
