How does the Gun system work?

I always get confused when I approach a weapon pack.. Sometimes I think I got it down, but then I pick up a weapon that isnt even it and im like.. What??

Could someone please explain what each weapon is on that hud on the bottom left whenever one approaches a weapon package??

The player can have five weapons: two explosives both accessed on the left directional button, two small firearms on the right and one big firearm on the up.

When you go to a weapon pack it shows the weapon in the pack on the left and your available slot(s) on the right. Then you get to decide which slot you put the weapon in by either tapping or holding the switch button (Y/triangle).

yeah if you have for instance a hand gun and an SMG and you want another SMG...

there will be an option to replace the hand gun by tapping or holding down ( triangle ).

similar idea for the boxes.

i really like the gun system for this game, its well thought out and very easy to use. from switching between dual carrying n stuff
