I don't know, I see Cash more as Dennis Haysbert:

As for Bane, I say cast someone like Javier Bardem for when he is in the chamber (normal size), and someone like the aforementioned Robert Maillet to be digitally enhanced as Bane.

Cast young extras as the thugs. Medium to large build, athletic,and muscled. The tougher they look, the better.

I could see Christina Hendricks as Poison Ivy, and Jackie Earl Haley as Scarecrow.
