I sure hope the handling in this game is better then the first one cause first one the turning was kind of wack. an example of good handling is gta 4:cool:

No GTAIV is an example of 'realistic' handling but it was pretty good

yes, but, remember this game is NOT realistic in many ways. it could be a little, but maybe the handling will be affected by the speed and stuff.
EDIT:-- OMG I FORGOT. in the vehicle stunt mini doc the dude says " you can drive faster, brake harder and accelerate harder than any real car would".

Also, GTA IV, I don't even consider that to be realistic.
After taking a corner in a car in real life, then attempting a similar corner in GTA IV, it seems that I always end up facing 180 degrees away from the corner with a street-lamp inside my door. Every single time. In real life, you can handle corners by turning the steering wheel to where you want to go. In GTA IV, you constantly have to counter-steer to keep yourself heading in the right direction.
Despite what Rockstar may think, cars are actually capable of gripping the road.
GTA IV is like driving a car with suspension made from sponges around a city made entirely from oil.
I look forward to Just Cause 2's driving.

Your forgetting, that all the cars are based on american models... apart from that easter egg mitsubishi.
So i'm not surprised they handle like a duck landing on a frozen pond

GTA 4 handling is realistic. I want to ask do you drive? Also in GTA 4 your are useally going a lot faster than in real lifeMy talk about GTA IV was based upon attempting to drive 'normally' within the game world. Something the developers hadn't accounted for, obviously, as they didn't count on somebody as boring as myself playing the game.
I am capable of driving and have experience in driving cars. I don't rely on them as my main mode of transport yet (expensive to maintain, I'm a mere poor student you see) however I have sufficient experience in a car to be able to work out that GTA IV needs to be a bit less springy and slippery ;)

For once I am disagreeing with Poor Bison (Is this happening??) haha but I think GTA 4 has pretty much got it spot on, I love it it takes skill, true the handbrake is a tad too sensitive but you can adjust and learn which cars to tap R1 and which ones to hold R1. Todd you have a very good point about your normally tearing it in GTA 4.

Thats the problem with realistic features....you cant just do with a controler and a TV screen what you do "personally" like steering, aiming, looking around, and using your senses like hearing to get a cue of where around you things are happening, like where are shots coming from, where are the sirens of chasing cops, behind you or to the sides? How far out? you just never know. Although I like realistic features in a game they just end up being frustrating and make you feel like the game is cheating on you.

.. I loved GTA IV's car handling.. I could do all sorts of cool barrel rolls & tricks with the car.. & I've gotten really skilled at driving 'em so I always win in the "GTA Race" Multiplayer mode.. I also notice that some dudes say that it's "gay" in a way.. Ho.. When I hear that from them, I just can't respond to 'em lol
You gotta' practice & then you'll be awesome at it, Continue to moan about it & not get better at it.. well, You'll just keep sucking ass.. simplez :D
