Definitly Batman Arkham Asylum, for some reason I didn't like Bioshock. The story was pretty good, but the gameplay just sucked. Arkham Asylum had both a great story and great gameplay.

only played the demo for bioshock to be fair. The atmoshphere was amazing, but like mentioned.. the gameplay was off. Maybe it got better as you progressed in the full game though? Apparently tons of people loved it

Both games had a quality atmosphere, Arkham's animation was so much more convincing and overall I think the gameplay didn't drag and grind as much as it did in bioshock. plus it has Batman in it. Bioshock's plot had more twists and turns to hold it together but I still prefer Arkham by far.

Bioshock was a great game, but you just can't beat Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Paul Dini, and Rocksteady.

Bioshock was definatly scarier, more original plot, great twist in the main plot.

Batman had more safer surroundings, there was a good twist in the SUBPLOT which to be honest should have been in the main plot. Both games we're great but i prefer Batman for it being Batman.

Bioshock definatly has people realize that RPG + FPS = is a good combonation.

Def AA. The best part about Bioshock was the setting/art direction.

It was good, but one of the more overhpyed/overrated games. They always made a big deal about the combat, weapons, and powers, which I thought were the weakest parts of the game well the powers were cool. Its a good game but a game I was fine just playing through one time. You would enjoy it if you played the whole thing you might consider playing the full game.

AA, but both games are great. Can't understand how anyone would think Bioshock's gameplay was off... It was a FPS with dual hand usage and powers. Similar to other games, really. I am glad to see that you can now use either genetic powers or guns at once this time around int eh sequel. Of course, with my PC still broken, I'm not going to experience it anyway, or the original, or Arkham... Sigh...

Now that I'm the proud new owner of a copy of BioShock....

I've come to find that I like them both equally (though I lean more towards Arkham Asylum). The way I see it, they're two different experiences, not to mention being in separate genres of gaming. The atmosphere in both games is top notch, and they both literally suck you in for hours at a time. Arkham Asylum gets props, though, for re-introducing me to Batman and comics in general.

Arkham Asylum was mainly the reason why I got more into Batman. :)

I was into comics and whatnot when I was younger, but I moved onto other things.

I have to admit, though, Bioshock makes me smile in that it used the Art Deco style, which if I recall this correctly, was what BTAS also used. :D

Judging from previous reactions of other, I may get beat up for saying this, but I've never even heard of Bioshock until a week ago! Seeing as it came out two (no, three) years ago, what have I been doing with my life?

The main thing that let AA down was that it was over too soon, you were cut short just when the ball started rolling and with all unlockables obtainable before the conclusion there's really isn't all that much reason for replayability (not saying you won't, I know a lot did - I'm just saying due to there not being much incentive it cut playtime a lot shorter)

But Batman's gameplay was fantastic, absolutely nailed the feeling of being ol' Batsy.
The gameplay in Bioshock was great but it felt a little... I don't know how to explain it, slightly uncomfortable? Not because of the environment, I mean it felt uncomfortable - could have been smoother. Plus the plasmids seemed a little loose too - but it's a great game.

I'd say its close, If Batman could have maintained the pace it built up instead of burning out so soon it could have won by a long shot, but it's close.

I'd still say AA took it though.

I just beat Bioshock about... 5 days ago. Then I beat Boshock 2 days ago :D

And... THE WINNAH IS....

Only because i think all the games are great and they all have uniqueness to them. I love them all equally :D whehter it be the awesomeness of being a big daddy, the awesomeness of being the GODDAMN BATMAN, or the awesomeness of having chain tattoos on your guys wrists. They all are great.

But i lean towards B:AA cuz Its Batman :D
