View Full Version : Error message 2/3 of the way through installation

Hi guys,

I have windows XP and a system that exceeds all requirements. When installing I get this message that pops up:

Feature: DefaultFeature
Component: DLS_RootDirBmGame_16
File: D:\data3.cab
Error: Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)


Anyone know what the heck the problem is?! I searched online and can find nothing...except other people with the same problem.

ha you double posted. anyways your CRC has failed. CRC checks to see if the file data is corrupted or not. in your case it is indicating data3.cab has failed the CRC check. like i said before you should re-get your files from where ever you got them from.

I bought the game from the store. Anyway...it worked! I just moved the disc to my e drive...and for some reason, it installed fine! Weird!
