they'd both die like Romeo & Juliet. Joker would admit that he never really cared about her and beat her up, but wouldn't kill her since in his mind he'd find that too humbling, so he'd laugh at her, and she'd cry... and suddenly she would have a burst of adrenaline & kill him. Afterward, she'd kill herself feeling like she ruined a perfect relationship.

Lol. That's how I always saw it going down, Harley just getting fed up some way or another and offing the guy.

In all seriousness, it's just about anyone's game. Joker is the one who taught her after all, and is the one maniacal enough to do just about anything. But on the other hand Harley has that whole abused girlfriend pent-up rage factor and her several outbursts on her side. I remember at least once in BTAS in the episode Harlequinade she came very close to killing him, even after he taunted her saying something like she didn't have the guts. The only thing that saved his ass was the fact that the gun she was holding was actually a fake one, although it had everyone (including herself) fooled for most of the time.

I wouldn't mind if Harley got killed off. Adding her to the comic world was nothing more than fan serve to me. I mean what has she done thats important in the comics? Besides that they fleshed out and gave her an actual family?

Anyhow Harley does have super strenght and agility, but would she really kill Mister J? Well she did shoot him when Joker ignored her in favor to Batman, but to kill? Eh maybe, not sure... Crazy people are unpredictable.

I want to say Harleen Quinzel, but Joker would beat her ass to a pulp. Yes, he claims he loves her and so does Harley. Harley actually loves Joker. Crazy nut... Joker beats her all the time, and the worst Harley ever did was get pissy and yells at him. She wouldn't hurt Joker in any major physical way, but Joker on the other hand almost killed her a couple of times. He only uses / used her. So, Joker.

I agree with this 100% the best time Harley was well integrated in the comics was in the Clown at midnight (didn't mind her in brian azzarello's Joker either) when Joker wanted to kill her to prove he wasn't human, I was disappointed when he failed. That is the main reason I can't stand her, having a "girlfriend" just takes away from Joker's persona. I think the story is cool, the way he manipulated her is cool and interesting but he should have killed her a long time ago. And she was added in the show, I believe, to make Joker less scary, which is always a bad idea, but she just gave this "hey the Joker is just like the rest of us and has a nagging girlfriend just like you" which to me misses the mark.

Indeed. I mean now she is in an ongoing monthly comic (Gotham Sirens) and to me i've found that pretty awful book. Mainly because i found the art offensive towards a comic nerd like myself. :D

Harley worked perfectly for BTAS and she works well for children cartoons, but the actual comic? Joker *doesn't* need a "Sidekick" character and so far she's done close to nothing important in the comic world *outside* Mad Love which was her introduction more or less.

I don't know, if Harley was killed off I would get very sad. She's a good character IMHO. Paul Dini himself who created Harley Quinn has strongly objected to her getting killed, and it's the reason she survived in Batman Beyond: Return Of The Joker. And Hell will freeze over the day that Paul Dini writes a bad Batman story.

There's just so much about her that makes her so appealing, a very fun and lovable character. Good enough to have her own TV show, if they would give her one, but she DID get her own comic series. There are plenty of characters who I believe deserve their own comic series but they don't get it (Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, etc.) but Harley was good enough to make the cut.

yeah I agree about Harley. I could never really dig her in the comics, even though i liked her for the animated series (until around the last season anyway). I felt she was unimportant and took away from Joker. Even in a great story like Hush she doesn't really do anything all that significant. I'm not really an Ivy fan either so I don't care much for that partnership, & I don't see why Catwoman would spend any time with those two (seriously, the concept of Gotham City Sirens is dumb... and I wouldn't have bothered reading it if Riddler weren't in 2 issues). Unlike the Joker, Harley's origin story is written in stone, so she is not as mysterioous... and she is written out to be too tough, which is unbelievable. Catwoman is far superior a female villain, but somehow has lost her popularity to Harley. such a shame.
