Question on Graveyard level

My son loves Mini Ninjas, but he got stuck on the Graveyard level. So, I helped him out, and we found the flower and got the light power. However, then he died trying to kill all the ghosts. Now, when we go back and get the flower and go to the shrine, you cannot get the light power again and the light power is not in your power list.

We did figure out that you can now run through the gate, but will we need that power again?

If you activate the power once - you'll have it till the end of the game. Just choose it in your inventory.

You will need it once more, but you could just run past the ghosts.
